THE RETREAT:
 

Join us for a nourishing weekend yoga retreat this February. This blissful weekend is the perfect Winter getaway, letting you relax after the busy festive season, nurture your body and soul and switch off completely. 

 

In the stunning venue of The Old Rectory, this weekend offers revitalising morning vinyasa yoga classes, relaxing evening practices, healthy macrobiotic food and plenty of time to enjoy the fresh air and lovely countryside, leaving you feeling fully balanced, restored and refreshed.

THE VENUE:

 

The Old Rectory is a large and spacious 19th Century country house situated in the unspoiled North Devon countryside, nestled between Exmoor and Dartmoor. This beautiful venue is both luxurious and homely, offering the perfect charming setting for our yoga retreat. Set in 5 acres of landscaped gardens and 14 acres of river meadows, the scenery is definitely worth escaping the city for.  

 

Originally built in 1826, The Old Rectory boasts many of its original features, including a Grade II listed Victorian grotto. The house is traditional with a contemporary twist and includes culturally diverse art and craft collected by the present owners.

With stylish, quiet and warm bedrooms you will have a comfortable place to rest and relax, and even blankets and hot water bottles to keep you extra cosy at night. The venue also boasts a yoga barn, swimming pool, infrared sauna, tennis court, gym and wifi. 

 

 

 

THE FOOD:
 

All meals are freshly prepared, healthy and nurturing with a macrobiotic influence. Using organic and local produce, the foods during this weekend help support your wellbeing, cleansing and nourishing the body form the inside out and creating balance within.

 

 

THE YOGA:
 
All yoga classes are suitable for all levels, including complete beginners.
 

Morning and evening yoga sessions will be led by our very own co-founder and yoga teacher Natasha Moutran. Natasha has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 10 years and loves sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with her students on retreats. 

 

Her teaching style is creative, encouraging and nurturing. The morning sessions are energising, fun and just the right amount of challenging with a lighthearted manner, leaving you feeling relaxed and smiling. Evening sessions are restorative and balancing to help calm the nervous system and restore body, mind and soul. Natasha aims to inspire people and support them in becoming the best version of themselves through the work that she offers. 

 

 

 

THE ACTIVITIES:
 

The surrounding area is the perfect place for taking in the fresh air walking or hiking. There is a choice of 2 local hiking trails, 40 mins - 1hr & 20 mins, or for the more active, going for a run. 

There is also a gym if you wish to make it a fully active weekend and wish to do some other exercising between your yoga classes. 

 

 

 

 

THE TREATMENTS:
 

Leonie offers Esalen massage on site. Esalen® Massage, well-known for its long flowing strokes over the whole body, helps release the stresses of everyday life, leaving the receiver feeling whole, integrated and deeply relaxed, in a natural state of well-being. The Esalen Massage is best described as the interface and integration of form, energy, structure, and soul. With its nurturing contact, integrating strokes, and detailed attention to the whole body, an Esalen Massage provides a state of deep relaxation and healing.

It is preferable that you book treatments in advance. Please let us know if you would like to book one in during your stay.

To book your space on this weekend retreat we require a deposit of £150 to confirm your booking. You have the option of paying the full amount upfront, or paying in installments, with the remaining balance due on 5th January. 

 

Rooms are allocated on a first come first serve bases. 

 

Payments can be made through bank transfer. We will provide you with these details when you make your booking.   

 

 

GETTING THERE:
 
 

Local train station - Eggesford train station, 2 miles – duration in car: 5mins

 

Local Airport - Exeter airport – 36miles – duration in car: 45 mins.

 

Local towns - Barnstable – 18miles, 25mins by road. Exeter – 23 miles 40mins by road.

 

Local beaches - Saunton Sands and Croyd – 25miles, 40mins by road.

 

A tranfer to / from Eggesford train station is available for £8, please do let us know if you would like to book this and at what time. 

 

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

 

In the event of cancellation

 

  • 60 days or more prior to the retreat: Your entire payment will be refunded, less £150 which is your deposit.

  • 59-30 days prior to the retreat: Payments are not refundable, but are transferable (less £150 deposit) to a future retreat.

  • 29 days or less prior to the retreat: Payments are not refundable.

 

 

This retreat is hosted by The Retreat Collection & gift certificates are accepted towards this retreat.
